What are your thoughts and feelings about depression, loneliness, heartbreaks, being different from your peers, and having to put up a front? How do/would you deal with some of these issues.
In my opinion, feeling depressed, lonely is common among the teenagers. Teenagers like us often feel down due to peer pressure, studies. It does not really matter how depressed or lonely you feel but how you deal with these negative feelings. If the feelings are not controlled properly, it might affect their studies, relationship with others and theirs mental health. Some of my ways of dealing with these issues will be talking to friends, writing them down on platform like Twitter where our my good friends has access to and listening to music.
Being different from your peers is a good thing. If we are all the same, what is so unique about each of us? Some of us might think that we must have the same products our peers have in order to blend in and not be a outcast. However, why blend in when you can stand out? For example, I have this weird facial expression when I do not smile. I do feel upset when my friends make fun about it but that is why set me different from others right?
Having to put up a front is tiring. Sometimes people put up a front so that their close ones do not worry about them. Some just do not want to explain when people ask why they are upset so they pretend they are happy instead. Personally, I think that people who put up a front need to know that they need to give themselves a break sometimes from the mask they having been wearing. If they did not, they lost their real self. Do confess to someone or even your pets that is trustworthy when you need a break.
